Displaced people in emergency shelter schools face extremely dire and challenging humanitarian conditions, which are exacerbated catastrophically due to ongoing airstrikes, lack of food, and disruptions in water and electricity supply. Recognizing the importance of hygiene for the well-being of those affected and to mitigate environmental harm, the Gazze Destek team has prepared hygiene kits.

It is worth noting that there are over 1,400,000 displaced individuals as a result of the bombings and the destruction of their homes, constituting approximately 60% of the Gaza Strip's population without shelter. Half of them are in emergency shelter centers, while the other half seek refuge in hospitals, churches, and public facilities.
